FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: to remove tungsten admixture from an aqueous solution of molybdenum compounds being a raw material for the metallic molybdenum production, the pH of solution is adjusted to a value in the range of 7.3-7.9 and tungsten admixture is further sorbed on a low-basic anionite containing as functional groups primary amino groups in conjunction with at least two secondary amino groups in the same alifatic chain. EFFECT: increased purification degree, increased yield of purified product per unit volume of anionite, reduced molybdenum losses. 1 tbl
