DEVICE FOR CROSSING MAIN THREADS ON SHUTTLELESS LOOM Russian patent published in 1996 - IPC

FIELD: crossing devices of looms. SUBSTANCE: device has holders 1 with needles 2 provided with eyes 3 for threads 4 and holders 5 with needles 6 provided with eyes 7 for crossing threads 8; device is also provided with mechanism for motion of holders 1 with needle 2 in horizontal plane and mechanism for motion of holders 5 with needles 6 in vertical position. Mechanism for motion of holders 1 is made in form of double-arm lever mounted on axle rigidly secured on housing of loom conveyer. Mounted on smaller arm of lever is axle holding slide blocks engageable with guides 15 which are movably mounted on plates rigidly connected with loom conveyer. Second arm of lever is articulated with insert 21 by means of shackle. Insert 21 is received by slot of vertical harness motion rod. Mechanism for motion of holders 5 is made in form of double-arm lever mounted on axle 27 which is rigidly secured on bracket fitted on harness motion bracket. One arm of lever is connected with horizontal rod by means of hinge joint. Horizontal rod is connected in its turn with terminal lever secured on slay shaft. Second arm of this lever is connected with carrier by means of vertical rod and fork. Holders 5 are fitted in this carrier. To avoid axial displacement, needles 2 and needles 5 are mounted on coupling rods and carrier is provided with guide 40 secured on loom conveyer by means of bracket. Holders 1 and 5 are detachable.
