FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: three-system thread tricot has two outer plies of single weave with binding elements between them made of thread of required length with loops at their ends knitted in loops of outer plies by set weave. In manufacturing tricot, thread is laid on needles by end, nearest and middle combs, then wales of outer plies are knitted by switching on the needle-beds at preset number of cycles and wales of binding elements are knitted. Binding elements are formed by middle comb on part of needles of one and other needle-beds in turn. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 3 cl, 2 dwg
