WHEEL WITH ADJUSTABLE LENGTH OF GROUND CONTACT Russian patent published in 1996 - IPC

FIELD: automotive industry, agriculture, aviation. SUBSTANCE: wheel has flexible support rim coupled through two soft conical envelopes with two flanges arranged on shaft. One of flanges is installed on shaft stationary, and other is installed on key and is connected through coupling with axial displacement drive. With wheel moving along cultivated soil, it does not cause rolling down of soil. Support flexible rim of wheel is coupled with hub by means of special envelopes. Length of ground contact of wheel is adjusted by means of simplest coupling which changes geometry of envelopes. EFFECT: prevention of rolling down of cultivated soil. 3 cl, 3 dwg
