FIELD: ecology, dumping of substandard ores of rare and rare-earth metals. SUBSTANCE: layer to be beneficiated is formed in the form of truncated cone of substandard rare- earth ores in the center of quarry on drain layer. The cone is covered with anti-filtering screen. Outer layer to be beneficiated is formed. Its surface is inclined towards the center. Layer to be leached is created then. When supplying acid solutions appropriate rare metals are leached of the layer that is leached. The metals migrate and precipitate in the layer being beneficiated. Then the screen is destroyed on the surface of the first beneficiated layer and it is created at the surface of the second layer. Then alkali solutions are supplied to dissolve other rare metals that migrate and precipitate in the first layer. Differential processing of beneficiated layers is carried out after selective redistribution of the metals. EFFECT: high efficiency. 4 cl, 1 dwg
