PADLOCK AND KEY Russian patent published in 1996 - IPC

FIELD: door locking. SUBSTANCE: padlock has case 1 in the form of rectangular prism. Holes are originated on the side of upper face of the prism to place ends 4 and 5 of locking bow 6, and a package of spring loaded by springs 7 insertion rests 8 interacting to recesses 9 originated on one end of locking bow. Support rods 10 and 11 fixed in blind holes 12 originated on the side of lower case face are installed in parallel in case 1. The blind holes are intersected with passages 13 where insertion rests 8 are installed. Insertion rests 8 have crosswise slots 14 on one side that come in contact support rods 10 and 11, and segment-like recesses 15 on another side originated at different distances from support butt 16. Curvature radius of segment-like recesses 15 is equal to radius of hole for end 5 of locking bow 6. Key is made in the form of a plate with semicircular clamp for interacting with support member 19 installed in lock case and has pins of different size on lateral surface of the plate to interact with reply insertion rests 8.
