FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: digging machine has frame, digging out clip and member for supporting dug out plants, with clip and supporting member being mounted on frame. Supporting member has openings. Shaft with working members fixed perpendicular to it is positioned below openings so that working members are introduced into openings to shake plant roots. Machine is further provided with drive. Undercutting knife is mounted above upper surface of digging out clip. Drive is formed as hydraulic axe connected with knife through rack and cone gear engageable with rack. Shaft with working members has bent connected with cone gear through auxiliary rack. Working members are made in the form of fingers positioned in vertical plane parallel to vertical plane extending through longitudinal axis of machine. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 4 cl, 25 dwg
