FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: animal keeping area has fence 1, feeder 2, waterer 3, range-defecation zone 5 provided with slatted floor and slurry channel extending under floor. Floor 5 is defined by continuous parallel planks 7 having width exceeding animal hoof length by 50-100 mm. Space between planks 7 is equal to animal pace. While crossing range-defication zone 5, animals step onto planks 7 and urge feces to fall through plank spaces into slurry channel.
