FIELD: separation of free-flowing composites with the aid of strong electric fields in mining industry. SUBSTANCE: electric separator is furnished with an additional corona-forming electrode installed above the grounded rotating disk between the main potential electrode and feeder, and with a dielectric rotating disk installed under the main high-voltage electrode in a spaced relation to the latter; the axis of rotation of the dielectric disk is shifted relative to the axis of rotation of the grounded disk by a magnitude of not less than the length of the high-voltage electrode, which is installed above part of the grounded disk. The separator may be provided with a dielectric screen installed on the side of the feeder with envelopment of the high-voltage electrode. The latter may be inclined relative to the grounded disk by decreasing the interelectrode distance to the axis of rotation of the grounded disk. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 3 cl, 3 dwg, 1 tbl
