FIELD: petroleum geophysics. SUBSTANCE: device for determination of well depth includes the first counting station having successively connected mark sensor 1, block 2 processing signals of sensor, block 3 generating counting- control pulses, and the second mark counting station having counting- control pulses, and the second mark counting station having successively connected mark sensor 4, block 5 processing signals of sensor 3 and block 6 generating counting-control pulses. Device also has pulse magnet 7, first OR element 9, second OR element 10, pulse reversible counter 11 and recording block 12. Magnet mark is applied to cable in point A by pulse magnet 7 when mark is point C is counted. When cable moves from point B to point C, the mark is counted twice, and readings of counter 11 successively decrease by one unit of lower order. Block 12 records geophysical parameters through intervals AB and BC. When cable motion direction changes, marks are counted successively in points C and B, their application is not made, and readings of counter 11 increase by one unit of lower order.
