FIELD: various industries, such as textile and chemical industries. SUBSTANCE: heat exchanger has horizontal chamber whose top part mounts cold-water supply pipe and water distributor. Central part of heat exchanger is space filled with cleats 4 fixed on pans 5 whose bottoms are shaped as contacting and diffusing sections 12 and 13, respectively, with holes 14. Steam-air mixture inlet and outlet pipes are provided on either end of chamber; hot-water sump and its discharge pipe union are located at the bottom.
