IMPRESSION MECHANISM Russian patent published in 1996 - IPC

FIELD: typewriters. SUBSTANCE: impression mechanism is intended for typewriters with lug character carrier which provide for character impression on paper through inked ribbon by impact of small hammer on rear side of lug with character. Impression mechanism has electromagnet with mobile core inside coil and frame, small hammer made fast to one of butts of core having thrust member and length of nonround section, guiding member of small hammer for interaction with length of nonround section and return spring to return core of electromagnet into initial position. Guiding member is manufactured in the form of plate with through guiding hole. Plate is placed between thrust member of small hammer and frame of electromagnet and is made fast to this frame. Small hammer has longitudinal groove to position cylindrical spring. Depth of groove is not less than distance of travel of core from initial position to impression position. EFFECT: reduced cost of mechanism, decreased energy consumption for performance of its throw. 2 cl, 6 dwg
