FIELD: oil and gas production. SUBSTANCE: in order to improve insulating properties of composition containing polyacrylamide, metalorganosiloxane, and water, non-ionic surfactant is additionally added to give following concentrations of components (in wt %): 0.005-0.8 polyacrylamide, 0.05-5.0 non-ionic surfactant, 0.033-2.0 metalorganosiloxane, the balance water. Improvement of insulating properties is caused by strengthening structure of cross-linked surface-active polymer-containing composition. When pumped in into a stratum until reducing intake of well by 20-50%, the composition makes it possible to extract less flooded crude oil and to increase its production owing to involvement of oil-bearing zones of stratum and detachment of water-washed substrata.
