REVOLVER Russian patent published in 1996 - IPC

FIELD: hand fire arms, in particular, civilian gas revolvers. SUBSTANCE: the revolver, using frame 1, cylinder 3 with interconnected longitudinal (4) and helical (5) grooves on the external surface, is furnished with a striker self-cocking firing mechanism. The mechanism has striker 15 with firing pin 16 and firing spring 19, and trigger 6 with trigger spring 7. Double-arm lever 9 spring-loaded by spring 10 and serving as a cocking mechanism and sear is installed in trigger 6 on pin 8. At backward motion of trigger 6 upper arm 18 of lever 19 actuates striker lug 17 and cocks the striker. After lower arm 11 touches stop 12 further backward motion of trigger 6 causes a turn of lever 9, the upper arm gets disengaged from lug 17, striker 15 is released and a shot is taken. As soon as trigger 6 is released, it returns to the forward position under the action of spring 7. At the end of the stroke upper arm 18 of lever 9 engages lug 17 of striker 15. The mechanism is ready to the next shot. EFFECT: improved design. 2 dwg
