FIELD: forging engineering. SUBSTANCE: control mechanism has power cylinder 24 engageable with frame 1 and two-link connecting rod 3 through movable members formed as double-armed levers 11 with central pivot joint 12. Lever links 13 and 14 are positioned at an angle one with respect to the other. Each link defines, in conjunction with line connecting their outer pivot joints 9 and 10, an angle of 0-15 deg. Portion 16 of body of outer link 14 positioned behind central pivot joint 12 is loosely suspended above body of inner link 13 of double-armed lever 11. Adjustable stop 15 positioned within portion 16 is in contact with flexible member 19 mounted within body of inner link 13. Position of supporting part 20 of outer pivot joint 10 of outer link 14 in vertical plane may be regulated. EFFECT: reduced consumption of working fluid and metal, reliable automatic protection of press against overloading. 3 cl, 2 dwg
