FIELD: glass manufacture industry. SUBSTANCE: plant has body with metal melt, side pockets and bypass channels situated in side walls of the bath next to outlet threshold, barriers situated near the side wall and reaching glass strip. Above barriers, transverse gates are hung on supports. On the bottom of bath, longitudinal shields are mounted to which sets of deflecting bars, shifted to the side of glass formation, border at an angle. Bar ends may overlap each other forming a labyrinth. Due to increase of part of melt passing through purification means and decrease of melt volume entering near-the side-wall streams, quality of produced glass becomes higher.
