FIELD: welding. SUBSTANCE: welding installation has laser, control system, rigging, transportation device with supply source and laser operation support systems. Installation has housing enclosing pipeline and pipe to be welded. Laser with axial hole, drive and laser mechanism to provide laser rotation about pipeline axis, radiation outlet unit with drive and radial displacement mechanism, and butt position pickup are installed in central part of housing. Extreme portion of housing are provided with supports adjustable in radial direction, and protective shields. EFFECT: enhanced quality of welds and reliability of pipelines in service; simplified design of installation; possibility to carry out welding of pipelines of different application in the field. 3 cl, 5 dwg
