FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: device for digital indication of linear translation has permanent magnet coupled to examined object, indication unit incorporating indication lamps of junior and senior positions and magnetosensitive elements placed with certain spacing in direction of linear translation of permanent magnet with displaced particular hysteresis loop and instrument windings embracing them. Permanent magnet is anchored perpendicular to rotation axis of object which may be parallel or perpendicular to direction of its linear translation.
