FIELD: hand firearm with vertical arrangement of barrels. SUBSTANCE: the firing mechanism hammer has a radial slot open at the front. A firing pin is positioned in the slot for translational motion. A pin is installed in the lateral hole of the firing pin and in the side extended holes of the hammer for axial motion. The pin has such a length that one of its ends projects behind the side surface of the hammer and gets engageable at cocking and release with the shaped and chamfered bosses of the internal side walls of the mechanism casing. the pin occupies now one, now the other extreme position in the side extended holes of the hammer, and the firing pin linked with it is set against the upper or lower striker. The firing pin position is fixed by a plate spring placed in the recess of the hammer slot rear wall. EFFECT: simplified design, decreased range of arms components and mass. 4 dwg
