FIELD: instrument engineering. SUBSTANCE: inventively novel feature of apparatus is that staff of each enterprise comprises automated working station of metrologist responsible for checking measurement instruments, detecting and counting faulty measurement instruments 2, providing scope of work for generator of signals indicative of restoration requirements. This generator is connected to first matching unit. Metrologist's working station also comprises set-point device for testing reference input signal for analog and microprocessor means, first elements and comparator connected, all of them, to memory unit for reference data allowances. Working station further comprises adder and counter of faulty instruments 2 connected, both of them to second matching unit. Station also comprises receivers-transmitters of each enterprise, central control desk for controlling apparatus, and mobile laboratories for measuring instruments, these laboratories serving to interconnect first, second and third matching units, respectively, to central control desk. To carry out express-diagnostics, apparatus comprises units effecting rests in processors, on- line memory, fixed memory made on self-testable control LSI basis. This approach makes it possible to combine structurally test units with objects to be controlled and to made checks on principle "valid-invalid" at real frequencies, at which measuring instruments operate, thereby permitting to reliably detect not only randomly occurring failures and short-circuits, but also parametric failures. Besides, incorporation of test units 52, 96 into each standard replacement element makes it possible to quickly detect and replace faulty standard replaceable element, thus ruling out need to use sophisticated and expensive test rigs for external control of analog and digital measuring means for medical uses. EFFECT: faulty measurement means can be timely detected in each enterprise of city (region, administrative area) being serviced and process of restoring them can be controlled. 1 cl, 3 dwg
