FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: diaphragm apparatus has housing to whose ends supply and discharge branch pipes are connected by means of bell mouths; partitions dividing the housing into several chambers are located in parallel with its axis. Tubular diaphragm elements are arranged in banks by means of tube sheets which are mounted in bearing rings in staggered order on opposite walls of housing on the outside. Device is provided with compensating members and covers with additional supply and discharge branch pipes mounted on ends of bearing rings and pressed to tube sheets and compensating members.
