FIELD: plastic working of metals. SUBSTANCE: method involves rolling rim and ridge by applying horizontal force through inclined rolls to inner surfaces of rim, with force value not exceeding 0.25 of maximum potential force of inclined rolls; providing proportional decrease of force, with horizontal force applied by inclined rolls in the process of rolling rim and ridge being equal to: Ppr = Pb + (0 - 0.25) Pinc, where Pb is horizontal force applied by basic rolls; Pinc is horizontal maximum force applied by inclined rolls. Method allows slight expansion of diameter of products with rolling of rim and ridge to be effectuated to provide required inner diameter, as well as to obtain products without expansion of diameter of rim.
