FIELD: application of images amounting to tens of meters on surfaces. SUBSTANCE: image is applied on surface of article by line-by-line scanning of surface with jets of sprayed paint compositions of several colors directed on to it. Several matching component monochromatic color-divided painted images can be applied simultaneously which will create common color image. Mode of control over application of composition is set as result of reading of color-divided parameters of image-original. During recording mode of proportional matching of relative scanning movements of reading of original and application of color compositions in agreement with preset scale coefficient of copying is maintained.
