FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: apparatus comprises high-voltage converter, pulse-sensitive element, pulse imitator, coordination assembly, switch, pulse generator, key, pulse amplitude adjusting unit, rectifier, current-limiting resistor, pulse polarity switch, active and passive electrodes, frequency meter, unit for selecting operating modes, push-buttons "More", "Less", "Start", "Stop", charge setting unit, display, two OR elements, flip-flop, charge measuring device, reference voltage source, comparator and monovibrator. Input of pulse-sensitive element is connected to patient, while its output, via coordination assembly, is connected to first input of switch having its second input connected to pulse imitator. Switch output is connected to frequency meter and to first of pulse generator having its second input connected to first output of unit for selecting operating modes, second output of which is connected to first input of pulse polarity switch. Input of unit for selecting operating modes is connected to first output of pulse generator whose second output is connected to first input of-key having its second input connected to flip-flop output to first input of charge setting unit and to first input of first OR element. Outputs of key and of pulse amplitude adjusting unit are connected, respectively, to first and second inputs of high-voltage converter whose output is connected, via in-series connected rectifier and current-limiting resistor, to second input of pulse polarity switch whose first and second outputs are connected, via active and passive electrodes, to patient. Third output of pulse polarity switch is connected to display and to first input of charge measuring device whose second input is connected to output of first OR element. Output of charge measuring device and reference voltage source are connected to first and second inputs of comparator whose output is connected, via monovibrator, to second inputs of first OR element and of charge setting unit. Third and fourth inputs of the latter are connected, respectively, to push-buttons "More" and "Less". Output of charge setting unit and push-button "Stop" are connected to first and second inputs of second OR element whose output is connected to first input of flip-flop, second input of which is connected to push- button "Start". EFFECT: electric space charge can be introduced by proposed apparatus to greater depth, stimulation procedure is automatically stopped as soon as introduced electric charge has reached predetermined level. 5 cl, 6 dwg
