SUBSTANCE: method involves laying thread below first tongue; effectuating first knitting cycle to produce loop; effectuating second knitting cycle on the same needle to produce new loop below hook; advancing twin needles for different values; leading thread simultaneously below tongue of one needle and below hook of other needle; effectuating knitting cycle to produce loop below hook of needle advanced for lesser value; shifting needles and throwing first cycle loop; advancing needles for different values; repeatedly laying thread and shifting needles; effectuating second knitting cycle by means of twin needles. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction, improved quality of knitted product and enhanced reliability in operation. 15 dwg
