FIELD: analytical chemistry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to atomic-absorption determination of lead with electrothermal atomization of sample with tungsten spiral atomizer. Method consists in that, after sampling on spiral atomizer, sample is kept inside the coil at environmental temperature for 10-100 s, whereupon coil with sample are immersed for 0.2-1 s into a liquid with density lower than that of test solution. EFFECT: improved procedure.
