FIELD: medicine, immunology, biotechnology. SUBSTANCE: transfer-factor preparation is obtained from leukocyte mass - nonutilized waste of human alpha-interferon production by cell disruption using freezing-thawing, isolation of low-molecular components by diaphragm separation and lyophilization. In addition, leukocytes were disrupted mechanically, solubilized in acid medium with sodium ethylenediaminetetraacetate followed by two-step diaphragm diafiltration (instead of dialysis and ethanol fractionation). Components of molecular mass above 5 kDa and less 13 kDa were isolated from leukocyte lyzate and heated at 60 C for 10 h in the presence of glycine. The prepared preparation shows high immunospecific activity to tuberculin and herpes-viral antigens but does not exhibit neither antiinflammatory nor myelostimulating, nor pyrogenic effects. Preparation is safety with respect to viral contamination. Preparation is used in ophthalmology. EFFECT: improved method of preparing, high effectiveness. 1 dwg
