METHOD OF PREPARING DISPERSE PARTICLES OF SOLUBLE COMPOUNDS IN MICROCAPSULES Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

Abstract RU 2076765 C1

FIELD: encapsulated materials. SUBSTANCE: solution of a compound is encapsulated in an inert matrix serving as encapsulating material. Procedure and condition of encapsulation affect microcapsule size. From temperature dependence of solubility for given compound, varying concentration of solution to be encapsulated, microcapsule size, and temperature, one obtains disperse particles of compound in microcapsules as the result of their crystallization with predetermined size from solution at lowered temperature, the crystal size being calculated by aid of reference data from temperature dependence of solubility and experimentally determined microcapsule size according to deduced formula. Optimization of encapsulation condition makes it possible to obtain microcapsules with narrow size distribution caused by range of disperse particle size distribution. Temperature variation leads to change in disperse particle size with the same specimen. This enables finding size dependence for many physico-chemical properties. Invention may be applied in chemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries. EFFECT: reduced microcapsule size distribution range. 2 dwg
