FIELD: transportation of containers and unit loads in regions with steady below zero temperatures and arctic regions. SUBSTANCE: installation has receiving and dispatching stations, transportation pipeline made of ice with fittings, air blowing set to transport the load. Transportation pipeline is installed on ice bow-shaped base adjoining the surface of route. Film hydraulic insulation screen is placed between base and transportation pipeline. Method of making such pipeline for installation consists in the following: bow-shaped base of snow and ice mass is formed along required route and is compacted after which base is covered with film hydraulic insulation screen and vault-shaped fitting assembly is installed above formed base. Then pipeline proper is formed from snow and ice mass and is compacted adequately. After compacting the mass, it is saturated with water to form monolithic structure of transportation pipeline.
