FIELD: wind-power engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in wind-driven plants of various purpose and capacity. For prevention of spinning of rotors (windwheels) up to dangerous rotational speeds during storm winds proposed device has braking plates 1 with tail parts 2 hinged to rim 3 of rotor 4 and pressed against rim 3 with springs 5. Tail parts of adjacent plates present bell-cranks interjointed by rods 6. For each adjacent pair of plates arms of bell-cranks of tail parts 2 and rod form parallelogram mechanism ensuring simultaneous turn of all plates. In this case condition $$$= 360 deg/n, where $$$ is angle between bell-cranks of tail part; n is number of plates, should be realized. Device as whole operates as aerodynamic brake with centrifugal regulator. EFFECT: prevention of dangerous spinning up of windwheels. 2 dwg
