FIELD: electric power supply for checkout of main pipeline inner surface without any interruptions and with stable parameters. SUBSTANCE: prior to thrusting the system into the pipeline, generator unit 1, filter 3 and converter 2 get disconnected from storage battery 5 with the aid of key 4 in response to a signal of unit 11(Fig.1,a) on readiness to the start; storage battery 5 is connected to control units 10, 12 and, with the aid of key 6, to recording unit 7; and from the instant of the beginning of system movement in the pipeline the generator voltage is being monitored, and its two threshold values are separated; when lower value Ur.n1 is attained, a time delay is introduced, on completion of which the output of generator unit 1 via filter 3 is connected to storage battery 5, and if the generator voltage fails to attain upper threshold value Ur.n2, it is raised and stabilized with the aid of unit 2 at preset boost charge level Ur.ng of storage battery 5. If the generator voltage drops below Ur.n2, it is raised and stabilized at level Ur.ng, beginning from value (Ur.n2-Δu2) and up to (Ur.n1-Δu1); at a further drop of voltage the above actions are stopped and key 4 is disconnected; the width of hysteresis loop Δu1 of the lower threshold is set to exceed that of upper threshold Δu2; in case of an emergency stop of the checkout system in the pipeline consumption of electric power is reduced by interlocking the control circuits of devices and units, for instance unit 8, which do not participate in operation in the given situation, and from the beginning of system movement the above interlocking is released.
