FIELD: testing equipment. SUBSTANCE: bed 1 testing starters includes one or more toothed rotors 7 with one or more tested electric motors connected to each of them and set in motion by proper gear wheels. Each rotor 7 is connected on one side to dynamometric brake 4 by means of electromagnetic clutch and on the other side - to low-inertia starting motor 8. Testing cycle provides for immediate activation of motor so that corresponding toothed rotor 7 is set in motion. Specified rotor is connected to brake 4 with the aid of clutch 6 so that it gives maximum braking moment to electric motor. Clutch 6 is transferred to unmeshed position and low-inertia motor 8 sets toothed rotor 7 in rotation with high speed to reproduce phase of racing of electric starter of internal combustion engine.
