FIELD: medicine, therapy at treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in action on acupuncture points located on the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity that are determined by application of 0.1 to 2-percent solution of adrenalin onto the mucous membrane; then individually selected points are influenced by heat for 0.5 to 0.7 s; the course of treatment is 7 to 10 procedures with an interval of 2-3 days. The device for action on the acupuncture points has a housing that accommodates an indicator unit, stimulator, whose working surface is commensurable with the dimension of the acupuncture points, connected to the power source via the control unit; the control unit uses "start" command, pulse generator and shaper units; the pulse generator unit uses a controlled single pulse generator, whose inputs are coupled to the "start" command unit, "pause" pulse generator and timer, and the output - to the pulse shaper unit including the pulse shaper, whose inputs are coupled to the temperature-sensitive element and controlled single pulse generator, and the output - to the voltage-to-current converter; converter is coupled to the stimulator, and the indicator is coupled to the "pause" pulse generator via an additionally introduced gate amplifier.
