FIELD: petroleum processing. SUBSTANCE: invention consists in spraying raw material (goudron) in evaporation space of vacuum (bitumen) column by the aid of one, two, three, or several vortex sprayers and successively repeatedly spraying phlegm flowing down from annular pocket into annular pocket of the steam-stripping part of column. Phlegm sprayers are disposed lengthways the axis of column or over the pocket walls depending on the type of used sprayers. The latter are arranged in such a way that drops of sprayed liquid come to impingement baffle of the pocket from which phlegm has been taken. Excessive phlegm flows down over pocket ledges along pocket and column walls behind impingement baffle into the next pocket. To pump through the phlegm from pockets into sprayers, multisection pumps provided with intake and discharge nipples in each section are used. Phlegm sprayers (vortex and jet) possess conical or flat discs located over their outlet openings to provide phlegm spray angle up to 180 deg. and are attached to vortex sprayers with streamlined stays. Similar heat/mass-exchange arrangement is mounted in lower half of the concentration part of column. Into the bottom part of column, heated to 420-600 C vapors of light hydrocarbons (gasoline, ligroin, kerosene, or their mixture) are fed which, passing through raw material spraying zone, strip oil fractions from the drop surface and heat these drops.
