FIELD: agricultural technology. SUBSTANCE: according to method, after fastening one end of twine to lower (upper) wire, twine is raised (lowered) to upper (lower) wire. At bringing twine to upper wire it is fastened without cutting at two places at distance equal to interval between seedlings in row. In case of lowering down, twine is tied to lower wire at one point also without cutting twine at distance from each other equal to double interval between seedlings in row. Device for realization of method has mast on which pivotally mounted is carrier with hydraulic cylinder, twine drawing mechanism. Mounted on mast platform are guide roller and reel with twine. In operation, one end of twine is fastened to one of wires. Then by raising or lowering of carrier twine is brought to upper or lower workers who fasten twine to lower or upper wires. EFFECT: increased productivity due to no time lost for cutting twine and fastening its ends. 2 cl, 4 dwg
