Potato digger is further provided with transverse transportation device for removing potato foliage from side adjacent to potato discharge zone. Foliage removers 7 embrace separating elevators 5,6 and transverse transportation device 8 adapted to discharge potato. Foliage removers 7 are spaced one from another so that their front ends are positioned close one to another and their rear ends are spaced to define path for removal of discharged potato.
