FIELD: foundry, manufacture of moulds. SUBSTANCE: moulding sand is loaded into casting box with the aid of stream of compressed air. At second stage moulding sand is compacted by means of shock wave created by gaseous atmosphere maintaining increase of pressure gradient in the course of specified time till certain pressure is achieved. Then moulding sand is additionally compacted mechanically. EFFECT: manufacture of moulds with homogeneous compaction of moulding sand meeting all hardness requirements with reduced time of manufacturing cycle. 9 cl, 1 dwg
