FIELD: computer engineering, in particular, devices for testing and debugging digital instruments as well for debugging firmware equipment and microprocessor systems, for design of logical analyzers. SUBSTANCE: device provides sequential recognition in several levels between which arbitrary jumps are possible. For each level, input digital information word is compared to two reference codes which correspond to this level only. If input code is not equal to any reference code, device keeps its previous state. If code of input word is equal to one reference code, the input code is said to be recognized, device jumps into another recognition level and operations of comparison of input words to another pair of reference codes is continued. Device provides possibility to store and switch between sixteen pairs of reference codes for two types of internal commands which govern level switching. Initial load multiplexer, next level multiplexer, jump level memory unit, second AND gate and two OR gates are introduced to accomplish the goal of invention.
