FIELD: computer engineering, in particular, memory units which use flat magnetic domains as information carriers. SUBSTANCE: method involves variation of local pulse magnetic field which generate asymmetric distribution of magnetic field with respect to center of domain-driving channel independently from magnetic field which generate domain-driving channel. So movement of flat magnetic domains along axis of hard magnetization of magnetically soft film is controlled by variation of value, direction and duration of magnetic field pulses which are generated by single current line. EFFECT: increased functional capabilities. 2 cl, 2 dwg
