FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves autumn wide-row sowing of rye and spring band sowing of buckwheat. Buckwheat is interplanted in preliminarily tilled rye spacings. Width of alternating strips with interplanted buckwheat and protective rye strips is equal to drill width. Upon appearance of buckwheat sprouts, rotary tillage of spacings combined with grinding and covering of rye plants between buckwheat rows are effectuated. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified method and improved quality of soil. 1 tbl
