FIELD: plastic metal working, namely, tube rolling. SUBSTANCE: working stand includes two pairs of horizontal rolls: first reducing pair with upper and lower rolls and second calibrating pair with upper and lower rolls; screwed-down mechanisms and roll drive unit in the form of toothed racks stationary mounted in frame at different sides of rolls, drive pinions engaging with said racks and mounted on both necking portions of upper roll of said first roll pair, pinions synchronously joining one with another upper and lower rolls of each roll pair and arranged in said first and second pairs of rolls at opposite sides of rolls and pinion mounted on necking portion of one end of upper roll of second pair and engaging with said rack. In order to provide normal engagement of drive pinions having different number of teeth with the same rack, pinion with less number of teeth is corrected. EFFECT: lowered wear of drive mechanism and gearing, increased reliability of working stands of cold tube rolling mill with movable stand and two pairs of successively arranged rolls. 4 dwg
