FIELD: hydrometallurgy of precious metals. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ores resistant to leaching reagents. Method includes crushing ore to optimal size, at least 0.64 cm, acidification with mineral acid, and treatment with nitric acid. Treated ore is placed on the top of impervious collector in the form of pilled permeable layer through which nitric acid aqueous solution is dispersed, whereupon pilled ore is washed out with water. Washed ore is leached and precious metals are isolated from leaching solution. Gas generated during preliminary oxidation of ore is fed into nitric acid generator to be converted there into nitric acid which is recycled to process ore. EFFECT: improved process. 13 cl, 2 dwg, 15 tbl
