FIELD: sewerage systems. SUBSTANCE: device is intended for catching and removing waste from sewage and can be used at sewage purification facilities. Device has bow-shaped bar grate 1 installed in sewage flow in duct 5, drive unit 2 for swinging motion of connecting rod 15 with scraper 3 rigidly fastened on its end. Drive unit 2 is installed on frame 11 mounted on support 6. Also provided is mechanism 4 for removing wastes from scraper 3 and throwing them onto belt conveyor 40. This mechanism has pair of three-arm levers 18 fastened on posts 20 on base 6 at edges of duct 5. Lower arm 21 of three-arm lever 18 interacts through tie-rod 23 with oscillating trough 26 for throwing wastes onto belt conveyor 40. Upper arm 29 interacts with unit 33 for throwing wastes from scraper 3 into oscillating trough 26, and third arm 37 has its end carrying replaceable counterweight 38 and interacts with stop 39 of connecting rod 15 at its periodic rising upwards. Extreme upper position of scraper 3 takes place when upper end of bar grate 1 and working plane of scraper 3 are matched and teeth of scraper 3 escape from slot of bar grate.
