SHOE LACES TIGHTENING DEVICE Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: shoe industry, in particular, device facilitating putting on shoes. SUBSTANCE: device is designed for high shoes or boots with portions adhering to tibiae. These portions are provided with slots and lace having connected ends. Device has pair of lugs, each provided with two outer hooks and at least one middle hook and joining members, for instance clamps. When boot is put on, outer lug hooks come into engagement with lace between adjacent slots on both portions adhering to tibiae and middle lug hook comes into engagement with lace part positioned between outer hooks of opposite lug. When both lugs are moved rearward and joined by clamp, lace is tightened and both portions adhering to tibiae are brought together. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation.
