THREAD ROLLING HEAD WITH FLAT THREADING DIES FOR MAKING ULTIMATELY FINE THREADS (ITS VARIANTS) Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: plastic metal working, namely rolling ultimately fine threads in range of diameters 0,25-2 mm. SUBSTANCE: invention realizes two variants of thread rolling head: head with threading dies having "developed screw"-type working surface and with threading dies having "developed ring"-type working surface. Said threading dies are mounted on sliders. Thread rolling head is provided with mechanism for finely adjusting diameter of thread. In first variant of invention guides for sliders are in the form of two strips whose one ends are mounted with possibility of rotation around cover plate secured to one lateral surface of body and whose other ends are arranged with gap in port of opposite cover plate. Said strips are arranged mutually in parallel in end plane of head. In second variant of invention guides for sliders are identical to said guides of first variant but they are arranged in mutually parallel horizontal planes and inclined by crossing angle almost equal to lead angle of thread.
