FIELD: transport engineering; tricycle for carrying various loads. SUBSTANCE: tricycle has frame, handlebar whose vertical axle is installed for turning in bearing unit on frame, front wheel and two rear wheels, pedal drive, wheel brake system and mechanical coupling connecting pedal drive with front wheel cantilever mounted on cranked lever 26 whose vertical axle is installed for turning in additional bearing unit. Mechanical coupling has overrunning clutch and two members one of which is made in form of twin spherical articulated four-member mechanism consisting of rings installed and made by special method and other member is multistage spur gear train with gears connected in parallel rows. Diameter of rear wheels is smaller than that of front wheel. Rear wheels are installed at distance from each other exceeding cross dimensions of frame. Vertical axles of handlebar and front wheel are spaced in cycle width, are provided with projections and are connected by hinged tie rod 15 forming with frame an articulated four-member mechanism. Brake system has handle, callipers and sliders arranged in special manner and cams whose number is equal to number of wheels and also beam and bell crank with brake pedal. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 8 dwg
