VISCOSIMETER FOR LIQUID MEDIA Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: determination of viscosity of liquid media. SUBSTANCE: given viscosimeter has vessel with calibrated hole placed into sealed chamber with cover fitted with inlet and drain branch pipes, shut-off cock of calibrated hole coupled to core of electromagnetic coil, float system of registration of rate of outflow of liquid of fixed volume equipped with sealed guide made as one unit with cover of chamber of nonmagnetic material, inductive pickups mounted on outside of guide. Inside guide there is tube mounted for rotation and translation enclosed in hollow ball provided with blades on outer surface. In cover of chamber electric motor is anchored horizontally, its shaft carries blades made from elastic material to fit snugly against ball when it is upper part of vessel. Viscosimeter also has three vessels with monometers and valves, drain and level branch pipes. Upper vessel has volume four times as great as that of vessel of viscosimeter. Drain branch pipe of upper vessel is mounted above maximal level of liquid in viscosimeter. Lower vessel has volume equal to that of upper vessel, it is located below drain branch pipe of viscosimeter. Central vessel is filled with gas and is equipped with pressure-reducing valve. All vessels are interjoined with the aid of pipe-line and valves. EFFECT: increased authenticity of determination of viscosity. 1 dwg
