FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: wide coverage unit has frame made in form of articulated four-member mechanism whose front links 1 are connected to hitch shackle 2 and with rear links 7 through hinge link 3 with vertical joint 4, horizontal joint 5 and cross-horizontal joint 6. Working tools 8 and caster wheels 9 are mounted on rear links 7. Mechanism for setting the unit in operating and travelling positions has connecting bar 12 consisting of two parts interconnected by horizontal-cross joint 13. Brackets 14 installed on rear links 7 are connected with ends of connecting bar 12 and with housing of hydraulic cylinders, providing moving of rear links 7 to or from each other, longitudinal vertical joints 15. Rods of hydraulic cylinders are connected to rear links 7. Hydraulic cylinders 18 providing turning of rear links 7 around their axles 11 are hinge connected by housings with rear links and by rods, with vertical joints 4 of articulated links 3. Rear link moving hydraulic cylinders are connected with hydraulic lock unit 19. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities and enhanced reliability. 3 dwg
