FIELD: domestic equipment. SUBSTANCE: washing machine has housing with control panel and washing tank mounted within housing. Drum is mounted on horizontal supports within tank and is connected with rotational drive. Drum has front window closed with cover and at least three longitudinal windows positioned along parameter of drum. Brushes mounted in holders are positioned in longitudinal windows. Toothed wheels are mounted on shafts in the vicinity of each brush outside drum for engagement with central toothed wheel mounted on tank wall. Central toothed wheel is aligned with axis of rotation of drum. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 3 dwg
