FIELD: manufacture of decorative panels of metals or plastics for facing front sides and interiors of buildings. SUBSTANCE: method is realized due to property of sheets of elastoplastic materials to be deformed with propagation of deformations outside dimension of sheet deforming member. In the result size of formed sheet is not limited by dimension of deforming system. Method comprises use of rigid punch and rigid shaping members of die in combination with elastic cushions. Area of rigid members is significantly less than area of shaped blank. EFFECT: lowered efforts of shaping members and therefore lowered power of the whole apparatus, reduced consumption of high-strength materials of rigid members of punch and die. 8 dwg
